After intensive planning and testing, MBN EVENTPRODUCTS developed an AIRBASE which manages to supply an efficient cooling of new generation hybrid lamps even though the dimensions are kept to a minimum.

The AIRBASE was tested in close cooperation with Robe Lighting and the MegaPointe®. This hybrid lamp is not only the most successful product on the market right now, it is also bears a challenge due to its development of high lens and low switch-off temperatures.

The dome itself is designed in a way that the lens of the fixture is only centimeters away from the protective plastic. Even in the most unfavorable setting of the MegaPointes® zoom and focus (hot spot shines directly onto the dome) the specially developed PVC does not melt and takes no damage whatsoever.

Of course the MBN AIRBASE 55 can be used with fixtures of any other manufacturer which comply in size and temperature, for instance the JB Lighting P4, MARTINMAC Axiom Hybrid or CLAY PAKY Mythos and many more.

Quick and easy to use
PowerLightsAugsburg (owner of the brand MBN EVENTPRODUCTS) is a service provider in the event sector and therefore the main focus was the easy and efficient handling of the product. For instance a hanging fixture connects easily to the AIRBASE via adapter plate and quick-fastening brackets. Also the connection of self-locking hooks or similar rigging tools use the quick fastening technique.

Tough and durable
All products are produced and assembled in Germany to fulfill the high standards of MBN EVENTPRODUCTS. The attribute “Made in Germany“ stands for quality and is the reason why high- end brand components are continuously used.

“Black is beautiful“
Numerous customers incited that the new MBN AIRBASE 55 be designed completely in black. Not only is the base coated in matt RAL 9005, also components such as the SCHUKO-socket, the safety lug and even the velcro on the dome are kept in black to guarantee a perfect integration of the product into rigs and stages.

The MBN RAINCOVER set is sold for the hanging version separately. Included in this set is a specially designed PVC-cover, a black 4 mm safety (DIN 3060) and two self-locking clamps with quick fastening connectors. The cover is simply mounted between the connecting clamps and the MBN AIRBASE 55.

The MBN ADAPTER PLATE is the perfect link between the MBN AIRBASE 55 and fixtures. It allows the safe installation of a fixture on to truss in either the standing or hanging version. Any fixture can be connected to the blower unit via the moveable quick-fastening connectors.

This unit is used as base for the MBN AIRDOMES or the MBN AIRCONES together with the AIRBASE LIGHTING MODULE (pic. 3+4) or colour changer (pic. 5). The MBN AIRBASE UNI is equipped with a CEE17 power plug for the external units, which is controlled by a safety switch, shutting down the external units in case of damage or removal of the top.

The UPSIDE DOWN KIT allows a flying installation of the devices in the MBN AIRDOME.

In this version the lamp is fixed in the base. It is used for coloured fabrics at the MBN AIRCONES, the MBN AIRTOWERS, the MBN AIRBALLS or special figures.
